May Bank Holiday 2017 - cars, food and CPD

S4S Director Matt Everatt

It's important to have passions and outside of work, one of mine is cars. From a design and engineering perspective, they capture my imagination now in the same way they did as when I was a child. I'm a member of a Facebook group with other dental professionals who share this passion. It seemed like a logical step to welcome everyone from the group to drive some of the best roads in Britain, located here in our region, and visit our new Laboratory in Sheffield.

Dentists from across the country headed to Sheffield for the weekend. We ate out at some superb restaurants here on Friday and then, early Saturday morning, left the Kenwood Hall hotel and headed for the Peak District. With superb routes available, we toured past Surprise View, Burbage Edge, through Castleton and Winnats Pass, onto Chapel-en-le-Frith, Edale, Lady Bower, Dam Flask and finished for lunch, which was kindly provided by John Holland cars near Meadowhall.

Here's some pictures from the day's drive:

Following our drive, we provided a tour of our lab facilities. This included an in-depth work-flow tour, overview of our in-house 3D printing and scanning capabilities, and an overview of our products, with Q&A through each stage of the tour.

You're always welcome to visit our facility and learn about what we do. Contact us and let's get something in the diary.
