The Snoreshield is a pre-formed, thermoplastic mouthpiece – also known as a boil and bite device. It is a type of Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS), that works by holding the lower jaw in a forward position, preventing it from dropping back during sleep and obstructing the airway.

Further Information

A condition that affects over 45% of the UK population, Snoring has an immense impact on the health and quality of life for the snorer, their bed partner and their family.

The lack of sleep caused by snoring can cause day-time sleepiness, poor motivation, and increased risk of strokes – to name a few.

Snoring is caused by the partial obstruction of the airway, due to the lower jaw falling backwards in sleep. This causes the soft tissues in the throat to vibrate, creating the snoring sound. The Snoreshield works to prevent this.
