Twin Blocks

The Clark Twin Block functional appliance was developed by Dr Clark in 1977 in his orthodontic practice in Scotland. Twin blocks are now the most widely used functional technique throughout the world.
Twin Block appliances are simple bite blocks that are designed for full-time wear. They achieve quick functional correction of malocclusion by the transmitting occlusal forces through the angled bite blocks encouraging the mandible (bottom jaw) to develop forwards.

- Upper and lower impression in alginate
- Protrusive bite registration
- Projet Bite recorders can be used to make bite registration quicker and easier for the clinician and patient
- Study Models should be taken to for pre & post treatment records
